Rounding out our Disney Orlando Summer 2015 experience, we ventured over to Epcot Center and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Enjoy!
“Ahhh, Epcot.”
Have I ever mentioned how much I love Epcot?
There isn’t a whole lot to do…to the uncultured. If you’re cultured like me, you’ll discover a lot to do.
Like visiting Morocco!
Or exploring Japan!
Or discovering the Sake Bar in Japan!
A lot of stereotypical American tourists visit Italy.
Great sunset about to take shape on the horizon.
The soon-to-be entrance pavilion for the new “Frozen the Ride” announced at D23.
Maelstrom was a surprisingly passable dark ride. A Frozen overlay should be a welcome addition to this section of the park.
It’ll be interesting to see how this backdrop changes. Are they going to “epic” the scale here?
The Mexico Pavilion has always been one of my favorites. This Around the World challenge has now been completed. Goodbye, Epcot!
And here we are at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! That’s Pandora: The World of Avatar under construction in the background!
That massive show building should be for the flying simulator attraction where you take a ride on a Banshee.
The immersion and theming for this new land will be off the charts impressive. Right now, overshadowed by Star Wars Land, this is still going to be a game changer, and gives Animal Kingdom a reason to keep the gates open in the evening.
Did I mention I love Disney’s Animal Kingdom?
The exotic theming and rich landscaping just do it for me.
Just amazing views throughout this park.
Took a ride on the Kilimanjaro Safari.
Dobie is having his breakfast.
Seriously epic landscape.
You know Dobie here is thinking, “One of these days, I’m gonna ram ’em. See if I won’t!”
For now, Dobie is content eating grass and pooping.
Our transports meandering along the prairie…
And look! A Mama Dobie and a Papa Dobie! Here they are performing the mating ritual of eating grass then pooping.
Seriously crazy off-the-charts awesome theming.
The Tree of Life stands proudly in the background.
Heading up Kali River Rapids.
This attraction has great theming, great immersion, and great story!
Some riders rounding the bend preparing to get soaked.
The rapids seem more tame than Grizzly River Run at Disney California Adventure.
A nice drop at the end, but the ride is also way too short. This has Grizzly beat in terms of story, but Grizzly is a faster, tighter, more aggressive river experience.
Expedition Everest looming in the background.
Even though they never fixed the giant animatronic Yeti, this is still a thrilling attraction.
Just a massive ride.
This may very well be the most impressive mountain ever constructed on a Disney property. Just awesome. And a great way to conclude our Disney Orlando experience!
Coming up, we head over to Universal for a trip through Hogsmead and Diagon Alley! Stay tuned!
