Let’s see how the Disneyland Resort is looking in between seasons! This, from the parking structure. Amazing just how much greenery there is at the resort. Check out all those trees!
Fleet of parking shuttles ready for action. Go ahead and take one out for a spin. They have plenty.
Workers installing the Christmas tree and assembling the foundation for the ice skating rink near Earl of Sandwich.
Unique shot of the Matterhorn in the distance with some great landscaping in the foreground.
Got some cool overhead shots of the Tomorrowland Autopia.
Makes you realize just how much land is tucked away back here. Really, they should relocate Autopia and re-theme it for a Cars Land experience, making room for Star Wars Land, perhaps?
Matterhorn loading platform from above.
Palm trees in Switzerland? How is this possible? Took this really unique shot of the Matterhorn. Looking great!
So great having the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage back! It’s not that it’s a must-ride. But it looks fantastic and adds a great energy to this part of the park.
If they ever did shut down the subs for good, I’d love to see an updated Aquatopia ride from Tokyo DisneySea incorporating the sub caverns for a partial dark ride experience.
A full compliment of padawans for today’s Jedi Academy training session. Yeah, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is totally going to tank at the box office. Sure it will. (Can’t wait btw.)
You know the food is decent when even the ducks are heading into the line for popcorn.
Gorgeous shot of the Tea Cups on a perfect afternoon.
Big Thunder Mountain landscape.
Thunder Mountain has been a pleasure since its upgrade. The new special effects have been working much more consistently as well.
A nice panoramic of the mountain.
The hub looking golden as the sun begins to set.
Quickly over to Disney California Adventure, and a look down the Hollywood backlot in the evening.
It was a special occasion so we tried the Carthay Circle World of Color dining package for the first time. Here’s the menu. Pricey, but Carthay Circle has stepped their game up with their food preparations. I had the roasted harvest Carthay soup and thick cut pork chop. Both were excellent.
It was effortless, and really nice, having a reserved section for World of Color waiting for us. Pretty good views from this area. Worth it for the experience.
And Boom! The show in progress! World of Color has grown on me over the years. It really is its own spectacle. I still feel Fantasmic! is a superior show overall, but World of Color is still epic in its own way. That does it for today! Hope you enjoyed!
